Health insurance TPAs in India: claim status & cashless guide
A Third-Party Administrator (TPA) is an IRDAI-licensed company that processes your health insurance claims on behalf of your insurer — handling cashless pre-authorisation, verifying claims and coordinating settlement. To check your claim status, log in to the official member portal of the TPA named on your health card, or call its helpline. The independent guides below explain what each TPA does and link you straight to its official portal.
How to use these guides
Each TPA below is an independent, IRDAI-licensed third-party administrator. Onsurity is a group health insurance and employee-benefits platform — not a TPA — and is not affiliated with any TPA listed here unless your specific policy is serviced by them. These pages are neutral, helpful guides.
For official login and real-time claim status, always use the TPA’s own member portal, and use the TPA named on your health card. Not sure what a TPA is or how it differs from your insurer? Start with what is a TPA, then read how a cashless claim works.
How to check your claim status with any TPA
The process is broadly the same across every administrator. Open the specific TPA’s guide for its exact portal link and screens.
Find your TPA
Check your health card or policy document for the TPA’s name and your member/UHID number.
Open the official portal
Go to that TPA’s member login page or app — linked in each guide below.
Log in and search
Sign in with your member ID or claim/intimation number to open your claim record.
Read the status
You’ll see stages like intimated, documents pending, under review, approved or settled.
Call if stuck
If the status is unclear or stalled, call the TPA helpline printed on your health card.

TPA claim FAQs
A Third-Party Administrator (TPA) is an IRDAI-licensed company that processes health insurance claims on behalf of an insurer. When you are hospitalised, the TPA handles pre-authorisation for cashless treatment, verifies the claim against your policy, and coordinates settlement with the hospital or reimburses you. The TPA is not your insurer — it is the claims-servicing intermediary named on your health card.
Your TPA’s name, your member/UHID number and a helpline are printed on your health card and in your policy document. Group health members can also find it in their HR benefits portal or app. The claim-status portal you use is always the one for the TPA named on your card — not a generic site.
Log in to your TPA’s official member portal (or app) using your member ID or claim number, or call the TPA helpline printed on your health card. Each guide in this section links to the correct official portal for that TPA and walks through the exact steps. For real-time status, always use the TPA’s own portal — this page is an independent guide, not a claims system.
No. Onsurity is a group health insurance and employee-benefits platform, not a TPA. Claims on an Onsurity-serviced plan are processed by the insurer and the TPA named on the member’s health card. These pages are independent guides to help you reach the right TPA; Onsurity is not affiliated with any TPA listed unless your specific policy is serviced by them.
Typical causes are incomplete or missing documents, a mismatch between the diagnosis and the treatment claimed, non-disclosed pre-existing conditions, claims for excluded or waiting-period conditions, and pre-authorisation raised late. Responding quickly to the TPA’s document queries and keeping your policy details handy usually clears most delays.
